Apple and Verizon consider iPhone deal!

Since we have almost no coverage for AT&T at our house, the idea of owning a iPhone seems completely impractical. Also my company has a corporate plan with Verizon so I could not justify another phone with yet another carrier. But if they move forward with this, I might have one of those shiny little devices too.

I am in love with this new Samsung LED TV. Not only does the performance make me drool but that it is eco-friendly. The claim is that the LED TV uses 40% lower power consumption and an ultra low power consuming standby mode. In addition no mercury, lead, or volatile organic compounds are used in the construction which means it is clean and safe to recycle.

Though, one of the coolest things about it is that you can connect it to your network with Medi@2.0. This allows the user to do a lot of interactive things without having to connect a computer to it.

Where The Wild Things Are

"Where The Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak was one of my most favorite books as a child. And now it is coming out as a movie. I am quite excited. (thus the really large YouTube embed). It is supposed to come out October 16, 2009.

Vista Display Settings Shortcut

I have a Lenovo w500 and it loves to have display driver issues but it also likes to change display settings whenever anything changes in the environment, like when I connect a monitor or projector, dock my computer, or look at it wrong. So the fact that I had to click through several menus to get to display settings every time really kind of peeved me.

I decided that it is too much hassle to try to fix the root problem (windows) and I made a desktop shortcut instead.

Here is how you can make your own or you can download it here:

Right Click on the Desktop
Left Click on New >
Left Click on Shortcut
Type the following in the text box that says Type the location of the item:

control.exe desk.cpl,@0,3

Click [Next]
Type the following in the text box that says Type a Name for this shortcut:

Display Settings

Click [Finish]
And you are done.
