New Year Resolution: Healthy

I sometimes think it is easier to measure physical health so I will start on that.
I blogged a few months ago about my “getting healthy“, I figured I would update the situation. My eating habits are slowly improving again after the holidays, i.e. I am eating more meals in a day and keeping my energy level constant. I still eat pretty damn healthy, lots of fresh produce. Maybe I am a little too fond of butter and I do enjoy my carbs but ultimately I don’t really eat fried or much processed food. There are still areas for improvement around consistency and meal size.
However I have been very consistent getting to the gym 3 times a week. I am now warming up with a mile run under 9 minutes (without any asthma issues!!!). And then I follow it up with a full hour plus of weight training. Over all I feel really good about this schedule and hope to keep improving on it.
I do feel like I am stronger and have much more endurance and balance though my weight still stays at 187 (+/-2) lbs. I also have not significantly seen much in the way of fat loss. Oh well, I know it will happen in time.
On an emotional level, I am stressed. That is a normal state of being though I think that prospect of buying a house is very exciting but a little unbalancing to my life. This is going to be challenging on many levels. This is of course compounded by the economy being in such turbulent state. The only good thing is that I feel safe in my job because I have great confidence with our business plan and the amazing people I work with. So for that I am very happy.
