| Bianca Stratford (Larisa Oleynik), a popular sophomore, wants to go out with Joey Donner (Andrew Keegan), but her father (Larry Miller) won't let her date until her older and ill-tempered sister Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) dates. Cameron James (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a new student at their high school, wants to date Bianca and works out a plan with Joey to find a guy for Kat to date so that Bianca can date. They find bad-boy, tough-guy Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger) and pay him to ask out Kat. Kat has no interest in dating anyone, but finally agrees to go out on a date with Patrick so that her sister can have a night of "teen normalcy". Now that Bianca can date, will she pick the popular hottie, Joey, or the smart and cute Cameron? |
